Softball Association is the main body for softball in the Nelson,
Tasman Districts, with 4 affiliated clubs and a
number of youth and school teams.
We play all of our fixtures at the Saxton Field Sports Complex on Saxton Road in Stoke. We generally play on Saturdays.
Our mission is to create a "safe environment that endorses competition, enjoyment and fair play" for all members of the softball and wider community.

We have 4 Clubs and have been operating since 1962.

- Eagles Softball Club
- Royals Softball Club
- Phoenix Softball Club
We
provide weekly Spring and Summer competitions and leagues and manage provincial representative teams for men and women.
We host regular club and regional tournaments as well as National events.
The Nelson Softball Association are affiliated to Softball New Zealand and are part of the Mainland Softball Organisation that provides representation in the Southern Pride Men's and Women's annual National League Competition.
We have a very active Nelson Youth Softball programme with participation leagues starting for 3 year olds and an Intercollegiate competition.
We also have a Softball In Schools programme offered for free to schools in the Nelson and Tasman Districts. Over 22 Schools participate in our programme.
Nelson Youth Softball have the Winter Clinics and our own Academy (CAP) for identified student/ athletes aged from 9-19 providing multi-dimensional training that offers member tools to assist with there development as citizens and softball players.
We run development programmes for coaching, umpiring and scoring at all levels.
